Did you hear about the new internet privacy laws being passed in the US? And what does this mean for folks who host their website on American soil?
This week the House passed a bill that will undermine the Consumer Privacy laws established by the FCC late last year which requires Internet Service Providers (ISPs) like Comcast and AT&T to ask permission before collecting and selling customer information to third-parties.
With this new bill – which is expected to be signed by Trump – ISPs will no longer have to wait for permission from its users to use and sell your information to the highest bidder.
